Elvenstone:
The Prophecy
The Underworld is not a place the demon god Shadow wishes to rule. Banished there by his brother – the god Lux – and corrupted over the years by Demon Spore, he has long been planning his escape. Now, after a thousand years, the curse Shadow placed on the Living, is finally coming to pass. The Prophecy foretells:
When elf and human should wed,
the world will be destroyed, for one of that blood shall rise and betray the living…
Centuries later, when the Elven King’s three grandchildren – born of the union between Elf and Human – come of age, he tests them before the Elvenstone and finds them true. He bestows each an imbued staff of great power, and sends the fledgling mages on a quest to Castle Eldahir. They are to study the art of arcane lore to help save the land from Shadow’s curse. Their journey is long, perilous and fraught with dangers. Shadow plots to stop them, sending demon spawn and brigands to waylay the three at every turn along the way.
Will one of the three Defenders rise above their destiny to betray the living?
Book 2
Elvenstone:
The Awakening
Book 2 follows Crimson, Storm and Grangold as they continue on their quest to thwart the god Shadow’s manipulations. Storm awakens to the throes of demonic transformation, and remembers Lux’s warning:
Shadow has corrupted your soul.
Even now his spore eats away at the good within you.
Crimson suffers under Lady Sibyl’s grief-laden depravity, and finds an inner strength and resilience she never knew she possessed. Grangold’s arrogance is tempered by personal loss. As Thargon yields to blind ambition and sells his soul to be king, Gristmor hurries to join Waverider and crew on a clandestine mission.
With powerful forces working against them, the three must find a way to change a destiny foretold centuries before they were born.
